Master in Social Work(MSW) is a 2-year specialized postgraduate course, consisting of macro and micro-aspects of professional social work practices in community, hospitals, schools and other fields of social services. The MSW Syllabus is divided into 4 semesters. The core subjects of the MSW Syllabus are Human Growth and Development, Ideology and Ethics of Social Work, Poverty Reduction, Micro Finance and Micro Enterprises, etc.

About MSW
MSW or Master of Social Work is a specialised course that aims at providing the aspirants with in-depth knowledge and understanding about the fabrics of the society and the societal hierarchy. The course mainly focuses on field work and equips the candidates with relevant skills to help others in need.

MSW Course Learning
The course is made in such a way that both Classroom training and fieldwork is included in the course curriculum. Classroom Learning includes theory lessons, group discussions, presentations, case studies, etc.

Fieldwork provides exposure to social realities and necessary work environments that you will go through in your professional career. It also teaches how to impart your theoretical knowledge in different sensitive cultural scenarios.

Eligibility:
• The basic eligibility required is the following:
  » Completed Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from a recognized college with a minimum of 50% marks.
  » Candidates belonging to the reserved category are provided with a relaxation of 5% in the minimum percentage of aggregate marks obtained.
  » Students from Humanities/Social Science/Science/Management and other backgrounds are also eligible for the MSW course if they have scored a minimum of 50% from a recognized college or institute.
